I have been on the hunt for a depositing mask for my blonde hair to maintain more of a strawberry blonde/rose gold tone. And this one takes the cake. I apply after a clarifying shampoo and leave on the for the entirety of 10min and I am left with such a beautiful color and added shine and wonderful scent.
I like to do my own hair to afford the color I want to achieve. I had previous brassy balayage on medium/dark brown hair. I also had a lot of permanent color and different tones. Natural ashy Roots, grays, permanent reddish medium brown , and the grown out brassy blonde, that was done unevenly at the aveda salon. I would have just used any brown, but I love the fashion forward style of igk and that is why I trust them to choose the right shade of brown to color my hair! I want it to look trendy and cute, not just be a mousy brown which I was told I have :( I am really happy to say the mask has evened out all of the tones in my hair to one tone (with the exception of a few grays) 38 yrs old, <25% gray, porous, color treated, dry, frizzy, unmanageable thick hair. I used one full bottle for my hair and had to use a little bit of water to spread it evenly. It stained my sink, wall, and a little bit on my skin. Smell and texture during use was “not rancid” as I described to my husband. The texture during use was not buttery like a regular hair mask but felt very very dry and tangly. It felt buttery once I rinsed it. It was a little difficult to brush it afterwards as well. Overall I will be repurchasing depending on how it looks when dry, and how well it covered all of the different lighter tones.

This product is great at what it's for. I used the purple color, and my hair was very pigmented...and it was smooth, not drying.
Unfortunately, I was under the impression this was a purple shampoo because I didn't read it and the store had it right next to the purple shampoo and conditioner. I grabbed it without thinking too much into it.
After about 123 washes, it's still a light purple color. HA! I can't even.
Great product....but use it as it's intended, not like a purple shampoo like me.

After searching for a while for a beige or champagne toned temporary color conditioner, I found this one on a Google search . I'm a senior with natural medium ash graying hair, most of the front white, but the rest not, so I've been having it highlighted heavily basically to add more white! I love that now, but when I want to tone it I don't want it to be too cool, I want more of an ivory tone, which works better with my skin. At first I was led to A La Plage, but decided on Cali Cali, a bit lighter and beige - received it yesterday and used it this morning , on shampooed wrung out hair, and only left it on a minute or two - and it really did what I hoped! It toned the highlighted and the natural white in my hair, blending it all in with lovely tones, I'm really pleased! I'm doubly pleased because some products I've used made my hair too grayish, and cloudy looking, lacking shine - if you only leave this on a couple of minutes as a conditioner you get that transparent color enhancemen - it actually looks really natural. My daughter's a salon owner and I'm going to tell her about it.

Love this mask! I use this between salon visits as my color-treated curly brown hair tends brassy. I was initially worried that the mask would leave my hair too matte looking (curly hair's not that shiny to begin with) and am pleasantly surprised with the shine. I apply it to dry hair for 15 minutes. The only thing to watch is that the mask will stain anything you touch, so gloves and an old towel or rag for the sink is a must!
