I have medium brown hair and every other purple dye I have used barely shows up in my hair. This one shows up well and looks amazing!
I have highlights and dark brown hair and I wanted to cover gray hair under the highlights. My hair stylist failed to do so. So I purchased Out in Malibu Shade Hair Color Kit and colored my hair myself. I love the light
color on my dark brown hair and the gray hair coverage by this hair color kit. My highlights are still visible and will be even more visible after several washes. My hair tone is even and bright!
My favorite dye was phyto since it’s natural and it does a beautiful job of keeping my grays covered. But it has been getting really hard to find it lately. I decided to give this a try and im glad I did! I love having black hair and volcanic is such an intense dark shiny color!! I will definitely be subscribing for a monthly order .
First off, one box will not be enough even if you have shoulders length hair. If your hair is thick you might want 2 and half boxes. I have long hair and very thick. Literally one box was only enough to color my left upper side of my head. I look hilarious. Gray coverage is not good. Keep that in mind. The included post color treatment is not enough. After you squeeze it out it comes about to the size of a pea. Enough to treat your nose hairs or armpit hair. That is hilarious and at the same time sad.
( IGK Your product lacks very important information about what is included and how much. ) So to you who will read this review keep this things in mind.
Still searching for IGK has kept me entertained and that is only because I look at things in a different way then most would.

I loved the color. I applied 1-800-espresso on my naturally very dark brown roots with the mids and ends being much lighter level 7-9 I had hot roots (grown out) to cover and 2-3 inches of newgrowth to blend. The color is an almost perfect match to my natural color but there isn't enough dye in the kit. My hair isn't thick or super long. The longest part is 15 inches and my strands are thin-medium thickness. The Back of my hair is still red. due to running out of dye. PLEASE ADD MORE DYE IN THE KIT.
Thanks for sharing your feedback! The color kits contain enough product to completely cover thin-medium shoulder-length hair. If your hair is longer than shoulder length or exceptionally thick, and you are coloring your whole head for the first time, you will need two boxes to ensure that you have sufficient product. If you have long, thick hair and are coloring the roots only, not the lengths, one box will be more than enough. We hope this helps!
